On October 16, 2024, we were so excited to welcome the Memphis Wine Society (MWS) back to No.2 Vance! MWS has become a true Memphis favorite, drawing wine lovers together for events that are as educational as they are enjoyable. This time, they brought back their popular pairing event, featuring an unexpected twist—flavored popcorn paired with a variety of wines!

A Taste of MWS’s Mission
The Memphis Wine Society makes wine education accessible and fun for everyone. They bring the art and science of wine appreciation to the Mid-South through exciting events, partnerships, travel opportunities, and consulting.
For this event, guests dove into a surprising world of flavors, exploring how different popcorn flavors can impact a wine’s taste. The reactions didn’t disappoint– guests had plenty of “a-ha!” moments as they explored how each popcorn flavor interacted with different wine varieties.

MWS loves switching up their event locations across the city, from East Memphis to Downtown. For this event, they chose No.2 Vance, drawn by our cozy, rustic charm and beautiful views of Downtown Memphis. With indoor and outdoor spaces and, now, easier access with completed construction across the street, No.2 Vance was just the right fit. Plus, MWS says they enjoyed working with our friendly team, who made sure everything ran smoothly and created a relaxed, intimate vibe.

If you missed this one, don’t worry—MWS has more wine-centric fun coming up! Mark your calendar for their Holiday Bash on December 12, 2024, at Bing on Broad. Doors open at 6:30 pm, and the evening will feature the year’s best wines, music, food, and presentations. General admission is $55 per person, while MWS members get in free.
